I do have a statue of Buddha that sits in what is called a butsudan. Basically that means &quot;place for the buddha&quot;. I don&#039;t however, worship it. It has no power. It is a piece of bronze that could live a productive life as a paperweight. Its purpose is to remind me of the way of life I aspire to just like your teachings tell you to aspire to a Christ like life.  So we can either try to be like a Jewish carpenter who hung out with a bunch of fishermen or a dropout rich kid who sat under a fig tree and tried to figure out why life sucked.</description>
